In South Asian culture and tradition, regardless of religious background, it is common for a bride to become emotional as she leaves her parents’ home after marriage. This heartfelt moment is filled with deep emotion, love, and tradition. As a Muslim wedding photographer in Atlanta, I had the honor of capturing this powerful farewell at Zyka Indian Restaurant in Decatur, GA.
As the bride departed with her newly wedded husband, the soft and emotional sounds of farewell music played in the background. Family members, relatives, and close friends gathered to offer their blessings, creating a moment filled with both sadness and joy. Leaving her parents was clearly emotional, yet her eyes also reflected happiness and hope as she began a new life in her new home.
These tears were not only tears of sorrow but also tears of joy - natural and meaningful expression of love, transition, and new beginnings.
